going to new places

That comment reminded me of when I was job hunting a few years back and had to

go to

a plaza to drop off an application and resume. I circled the parking lot and

couldn't find

any ramps to the sidewalk. (I always tend to arrive early to new places so I

can scout out

the area and figure out the easiest way for me to get around.)

I figured I'd just park and walk and get enough stamina to climb the curb once I

got to it.

BIG mistake! I got to the curb and fell trying to walk up it. So, there I am

sitting on the

curb, looking like an idiot, and wondering how I was going to get up. There's

absolutely

no one around to help me and I'm starting to panic. My car is too far away to

crawl to, so

that was a last resort. Somehow I managed to get on my knees and bend at the

waist and

stand up, (I have a horrid time if I am standing bent at the waist to try to

raise my upper

body....I can't do sit ups either so I'm not sure if this is due to weak stomach

and back

muscles).

Needless to say after that excursion I walked back to my car and sat there

trembling for

about ten minutes and figured no job was worth that sort of struggle every day

so I went home!
