Guest guest
MSN has been around here for years. People use the powder form - just a spoon-full on their salads. It is " marketed " for joint damage/health. In the powder form, it is just mixed with ordinary food, but in small amounts. I have no use for it, because I do not have joint problems/damage. Guest guest
Gretchen, From what I am reading, it's not just for joint damage. Check out the following info from http://www.msm.com/MSMDo.cfm: " What does Lignisul MSM do? Some of MSM's essential functions in the body include maintaining the structure of the proteins in the body, helping the formation of keratin which is essential for hair and nail growth, aiding in the production of immunoglobulin which maintains the immune system, and catalyzing the chemical reactions which change food into energy. These functions often result in the following occurrences: Inhibition of pain impulses along nerve fibers (analgesia) Lessening of inflammation Increase in blood supply Reduction of muscle spasm Softening of scar tissue " Makes me wonder how effective it is for nerve pain and numbness. I know that I have bad bouts with that from time to time as do many other CMTers. Increasing the blood supply would be extremely helpful for circulation issues for those of us in AFOs all day as well. Has anyone tried this and if so, what, if any, benefits did you notice?
