Guest guest
, you might want to consider pre-implantation for your pregnancy - the result being a CMT-free child. Here's a research report I wrote awhile back.http://www.cmtworld.org/epublisher/publish/article_0061.php You can print it and take it with you to the consultation. We have some posts on this in our archives too. Since CMT is in your family, you might want to be tested yourself. ~ Gretchen
Guest guest
Thank you Gretchen! That article was very helpful! We are being set up w/ gene specialists at 's Hopkins. My GYN mentioned a similar process to this for Cystic Fibrosis. He said we could be prescreened to determine if either of us have the gene. I'm definitely going to have the gene spec. tell me what I need to do for a proper CMT diagnosis.
