Guest guest
Hi Rita and hello to everyone. Rita, I have read with interest your messages about the hole in your heart. Congratulations on your good news from your doctor. The reason I have been interested is that I too have been diagnosed with a hole between the bottom two chambers of my heart. It was explained to me that when each of us are born we come with this hole. The hole is suppose to close within the first ten days of life. Mine never has and I was wondering if yours is the same diagnoses? My heart specialist also said no need to do surgery and put me on aspirin to keep my blood thin. He also warned me about getting into situations where blood clots would be a danger. I have never had any problems relating to this condition and only know about it because I was given a echocardiogram for another complaint. Still it caught my eye when you posted about having a hole in your heart. Me Too!! I hope each and everyone of you has a wonderful, peaceful weekend. Happy Mother's Day to all of you. Guest guest
Hello Sharon, Just to let you know that yes my Doc. explained the very same thing to me, how common it is that a lot of people have this hole in there heart. How we're born with this and how it should close. But some of us it does not close and we go on living normal healthy lives. Then there are the few who have complications with it, growing larger or blood passing through and causing things such as strokes. Once in a while you hear how athletes collapse during practice or playing ball or whatever and end up dieing with heart failure, I had heard that it was due to a hole in their heart. I'm not sure how reliable this is, I can't remember where I heard this. My Doc. has not put me on aspirin but that is largeely due to all the medications I do have to take. Thank you for your concern. And smiles to everyone, Rita
