Guest guest
Somone asked about pregnancy experiences. I was diagnosed early on with CMT, but it wasn't until the DNA test came back positive for Type 2E that I knew exactly. Then my husband and I had genetic counseling because we needed information regarding inheritenance of CMT. It was through that process that we learned about pre- implantation genetic diagnosis. After completing that process, I became pregnant, felt great, and we had a baby. Our child was tested shortly thereafter also as part of the process. Our child is CMT-free and does not carry the CMT gene.
