It is not clear at this time as to the reason for my

hearing loss, however several of my CMT cousins and my

father all had some hearing loss. Several of us note

the voice problem as well, which is compounded by

essential tremor. We have not been firmly diagnosed as

of yet, but type II is suspected. We are of recent

European extraction (British) so type II is a distinct

possibility.
