Guest guest
Hi everyone, I bought a gallon of some great lotion base, and was wondering -- what is the best way to color it if I want to? I was thinking of making some light rose tinted lotion. What types of colorant actually color the skin when you use them and which ones don't? Also, I've been making lip balm for a long time and I would like to color them to make tinted lipbalms. I always heard to use a sliver of lipstick. Is this the only way and are there any stores out there that sell colorant for lipbalm? I've never seen any. Thanks!
Guest guest
HI--good question about staining.... I have not had the experience of staining the tub at all. You only need a " tiny pinch " of Wilton color icing gel to a 1 lb batch to color the soap. It is added at trace, then blended well to incorporate. Since so little colorant is added, there is no staining of body or tub. I could not guarantee that if used in other products that it would not produce staining, however. hth means hope this helps Sherry _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx
