Covering Kids and Families 2004

The American Academy of Neurology has signed on as a national partner in

the Covering Kids & Families Back-to-School Campaign. Covering Kids &

Families is an annual initiative designed to increase the number of

children and adults who benefit from federal and state health programs.

Most eligible children are in working families that are not covered by

employer-based plans or cannot afford private insurance.

Families can call a national toll-free line 1-877-KIDS-NOW to ask

questions about eligibility for free or low-cost healthcare programs in

their state.

The campaign launch is Tuesday, August 3, and will include a news

conference at 10:00 a.m. (ET) at the National Press Club in Washington,
