Ref: Volunteers from Pune ready to test AIDS vaccine

We are all waiting with bated breath for the trials to start. I fully appreciate

the efforts of NARI and the process they have gone thru to screen and select

volunteers.

I am sure the volunteers also understand the enormity of the thing they are

entering into. Besides, I am sure ethical guidelines would have been worked out.

I would appreciate if the same are also posted in the forum for the benefit of

all to see and make their suggestions / comments. The ethical framework should

become the backbone of the trials. Posting them would also lend to the much

needed transparency of the processes.
