Guest guest
Hi, I am back from our trip and happy to be reading everyone's letters. Our son in Oregon just went to an orthopedic in Bend and the doctor thinks that he can help his severe swelling in his ankle by doing an ankle fuse. He is more than glad to do this if it will help, but the doctor, even tho he specializes in the foot and is aware of CMT, he has never done a fusion of a CMT patient. Should this be a concern or not? He is highly recommended and our son has little resources to try to go to another city to find another doctor. Anyone out there with any good advice? He wants to fuse it and put bolts in it. Anxiously waiting to hear from anyone with experience in this. Thanks, Stevie
