Heidi! Terrific to hear from you and the news of your new " Christmas

package " ! Great too, hearing about your childcare business and the

family. I remember when you were still in school! :)

Sometime at the end of 2003, we did get some interesting news from

Germany regarding hormones and CMT 1A. Research has been done on rats -

they were given onapristone (a progesterone antagonist) and the study found

that this hormone stopped the overexpression of the gene causing CMT 1A.

I can find the paper and send it to you if you want. As I remember,

there was some discussion in Europe about doses on this and more work

needs to be done before any human trials start.

Keep us up to date on the baby. I hope it's a girl - Kelseigh needs a

sister with the 3 boys!
