Guest guest
Greetings: I work at a hospital. Today I happened to have lunch with a doctor on our staff, one who regularly takes vitamins himself. I asked him if there can be any ill effects from high doses of C; he said it can cause kidney stones or ulcers. I then explained a little more about why I had asked. He suggested that if one is taking high doses, it may be a good idea to take Nexium along with it to protect the stomach. So far I havn't noticed any ill effects stomach wise but I'm not sure there would be any way to tell you're getting kidney stones before you have them. Anyway, just thought I'd pass this on. I still plan to take the C but I'm not sure I'll risk a dose as high as 10000 mg.. I think now I'll kee it around 5000 which is still considered extremely high. Peace, Marti
