Ron,

Another comment--I also gave up alcohol while I was dieting. I did not

drink that much any way--a beer or martini 3-4 times per week. I have

returned to drinking, which I really like, but cutting out another 500-600

calories per week helps lose the weight. And, I have not gained additional

weight when I returned to recreational drinking. I have given up

recreational snacks--I DO NOT SNACK AT ALL. Hope this helps.

Tom, thanks for all your diet tips. I found I have gained 15 pounds from some

inactivity and the meds that my doctors have me on, two of which slow my

metabolism down. I feel really porky right now and want to try and

counter-balance the meds with healthy eating. Thanks again.
