Guest guest
Hi, Wanted to introduce myself. I am a 42 year old single parent who has had CMT since I was 22. I have no family history of it, so we are very perplexed as to how I have gotten it. My parents were tested and still no insight. I had the blood tests done, but alas, it came up negative. I was hoping to have some kind of answer not so much for me but for my son's future. My lower muscles are very much atrophied and i am sitting here with a cast on my foot from my last fall. Fortunatley, I have never had to wear one before. I am now using canes, walkers and just got approved for an electric scooter to help maintain my independence. So far, CMT has not really stopped me from doing anything, just have to re-adjust periodically! anyway, today's question is about the Vitamin C i keep reading about. Can anyone enlighten me on these studies and what is the suggested amount to take? Someone from NIH just mentioned this to me so it is intersting that I should read so much about it. Thank you for seeking me out. It is wonderful to have this forum! Jackie
