Guest guest
I have some questions.... I've just been diagnosed with Diabetes and CMT. I'm 30. I've been seeing a neurologist , podietrics(SP), and my GP. Because of the severity of my neuropathy all my doctors have agreed to put me on 6400 neurontin, 100 trazadone, 8mg zanaflex and testosterone to help blood flow. I'm I haven't developed a need for AFOs but I'm using doctor molded arch supports. Also I've had NCS(Nerve conduction study) which puts me on par with an 80 year old. I've had some vision changes, hearing changes and voice changes that all my doctors agree is part of the CMT and not my Diabetes. 1. Is there a specific CMT type that affects vision. 2. My neurologist wants to do a nerve biopsy. Is it worth it or should I look at DNA testing instead. As a side note: The testosterone took the deep pains away.. The neurontin and zanaflex take the rest away until night time when I take the trazadone to help me sleep... I need to start excersicing a bit more. Just curious if this is typical of others who have experienced this.
