That will forever be something we have to consider when we are doing any kind of protocol. But it is OK to mix iodine with food. Iodine needs food to pass through the body best. I think a good rule of thumb is, is the nutrient already found in food? Iodine is in lots of foods, so taking it with food is not a problem. That's not always the case, but you can certainly add that into the equation. For instance, oxygen is in all living food. But the peroxide protocol should not be done when there is food in the stomach. So that doesn't always work. I am also seeing changes already in my body since starting back at this level and mixing it with food like I am. So this is good. I think I will drop back to 2 droppers, tho. It was starting to leave a taste in my mouth yesterday and I know that kind of thing from when I took DMSO. So I will stay at 2 because that's what level I used when I quit last fall. When that appears to be not necessary anymore, I will gladly drop back more. I hope it's easy for me to know when that comes, like a taste in my mouth, so I can quickly drop back and coast when my body is sufficiently supplied with iodine. I got to thinking over my idea of adding MSM to the kefir to get that horrible thing into me easier. I had quit taking that last fall, too. Tho I was really down to my last cup full out of a 5# bag of it and I didn't see any real change from that. It never even helped my creaky right jaw hinge. But I have found a better price so I decided to get some more in and resume taking the MSM because my health did improve last year and MSM might have been a part of that process. It's yucky, but I guess it is worth another go, so I got another 5#. But someone on another group jogged my memory about how to take it. It is something your body uses best by dissolving it in water and holding it in the mouth until it dissolves and letting the glands under the tongue start to absorb it. So I won't be putting MSM into kefir. I don't think it ever dissolves, in my experience. But that is the best way to use it. Lyn
