For the last couple of weeks, instead of getting kefir milk I'm getting

something that's all congealed together so it won't even pour through the

strainer as it is one gelatin type glob. Has anyone else ever experienced this?

What is your milk to grains ratio? You should be able to tap the strainer on

the edge of the bowl that you are straining over and it should help strain the

grains. Al

I don't have a problem with the grains. Just all of a sudden, it has a

very thick congealed consistency. So if I were to pour it, it would all

pour as it is connected in one stretchy glob. I will try rinsing as

someone else suggested to see if that helps.

Sheree,

That happens to me when I need to reduce my kefir grains in proportion to the

milk.
