Guest guest
I have wondered for a few years now about calories in Kefir. Because the commercial brands have always been lowfat, and I use whole milk for my kefir, I couldn't estimate calories properly. Today I looked again and found that Lifeway has a whole milk kefir product so I was able to get calorie information from that. I'm pretty sure Lifeway does not use live grains, but it is at least closer to estimate using the nutrition data on their label than yogurt, which is what I had been doing before. The whole milk yogurt I was using is about 20 calories more per cup, so yay!
