Guest guest
Hi Kelli, I would just tell her the truth, that Austin is different because God made him that way, and that he will learn a little slower than her, but on the inside where it counts, his soul is just the same as hers, just like kids of color, they may look different on the outside from you but their soul is the same color as yours. God makes us all different in many different ways and that is what makes us all so special and unique and beautiful. We can learn many things from " different " people because we all have something " diferent " to teach each other. Hope that helps. Guest guest
Why, why, why are you not eating enough???? What you are describing sound to me like hypgycemia-low blood sugar cause by too little food, or too much time in between meals, and/or too many simple carbs. I spent the majority of the early 90's in a hypoglycemic state thanks to high carb diets:) Lynda *go eat!! now!!

When my IBS acts up and I " can't eat " , yet I'm still up at work or doing things I have to be very careful not to overdo it. I get dizzy, light-headed, nauseous and almost feel like I'm going to pass out. So it is probably related to the food. However, if it keeps up, you may just want to make a dr. appt. just in case. It may likely have just been a case of low blood sugar also, from the lack of food. I hope you're feeling better!! That's a horrible feeling! Guest guest
Your symptons could also be indications of dehydration...were you drinking your water? If not, make sure you hydrate! And you might want to add one serving of some kind of sports drink for today only. I don't know which ones do not have sugar, so you'll have to look at the labels. If you went a couple of days not eating, not drinking, and pushing yourself to maintain your activity level you might have thrown your electrolights off. Not something we usually need to worry about, but could have happened in your case. Try to eat right today and drink your water. If the symptoms persist see a doctor. Alys oh....if you were not eating because you felt nausiated already, any chance you're expecting? A.
Guest guest
It so totally depends on the young adult. I think my daughter would do fine alone in our home for a weekend. But I would want someone really CLOSE by in case something unexpected came up and I would want someone coming by checking on her. She would LOVE to be home alone for a weekend ... my fear would be for my stereo speakers ... she loves to crank up the stereo when no one is home!! Guest guest
I don't think I would leave my son overnight at 18. I may change my mind if he matures a great deal. Does she have someone to check on him from time to time? I understand that parents need to get away, and some kids with DS at 18 would be okay for a weekend. Mine is not emergency and stranger trained (not well enough IMHO). I don't even like going to the Quick Rip without him. Elaine Fwd: question What do you thing? Guest guest
Didn't you pick the chicken up out of the marinade and throw out the rest? Most marinades are only negligible calorie wise because though the meat does absorb some of it most of it is wasted. Then it is exposed to the heat of cooking and I just don't think it is that big a deal. I would say don't worry about this but make sure you don't reserve any new to pour over like a glaze. Then that would be a different story. Bon Appetit! Doesn't this same theory apply to canned fruit? Once you dump out the syrup or whatever it's canned in and rinse it it should reduce the sugar content considerably. stasia
Guest guest
uhmmm...actually ....I put the cicken in the pan (using nonstick spray) and then poured the rest of the marinade over it as it cooked. I thought that was what you did with a marinade, soak the meat and then cook the meat with it. Guest guest
Betty, You are cracking me up, even if you aren't meaning to! Usually when I use a marinade, I do not cook the meat in the marinade. Do you have a grill? I find meat tastier when marinaded and grilled, vs cooked in a pan. If you don't have a grill, maybe you could get an inexpensive stove-top grill pan. Regardless, I am sure you didn't eat the marinade with a spoon after cooking your meat in it. Although, with a quarter cup of molasses, it probably would have been pretty good! Guest guest
Hi Pam, Do you have any of the LL tapes? If so, the best thing to do is watch and make sure you are doing the breath right. I have to check aback occasionally to make sure I do it right. Also, the victory tapes are wonderful. I have 3 of them and they can really get you motivated, but mostly help you to feel good about yourself and have a good self image. I did Bodyflex and oxycise both with not much result. I now do LL only and love the way it not only makes me feel but also the way it has toned my body. Have you checked out the LL website? It is www.lifelift.com. You will find all kinds of wonderful information on there along with all her products. Sounds like you have your eating on track so maybe by just concentrating on LL and making sure you are doing it right it will all come together. Let us know if you need anymore help or encouragement. We have lots of wonderful people here ready to help in any way. Guest guest
Hi , Yep, I have her tape 1 and the instructional tape w/ acupressure face lift. I thikn I'm doing it right, & feel different in the way that I breathe - I'm no longer winded on a few stairs. I might have to ck out the victory tapes. I have ck'd out the website on numerous occasions and really like the new format. It's much more user friendly. Is she doing an infomercial for LL? I heard the rumor. Can you get the benefit by just doing the breathing exercises? I have whip lash and have noticed if I do too many " exercises " than either my neck hurts or I get a ringing sensation in my ear. Thanks in advance for any advice. Pam --- Clem <rdc@...> wrote: > Hi Pam, > Do you have any of the LL tapes? If so, the best > thing to do is watch and > make sure you are doing the breath right. Guest guest
Hi Pam, Yes I think Rashelle is doing an infomercial. On her new site at www.lifelift.net you can see it. Yes you can get benefit from just doing the breathing. I do that alot of the time. Good luck, Love, > Hi , > > Yep, I have her tape 1 and the instructional tape w/ > acupressure face lift. Guest guest
Hi Pam, How many days a week do you breathe? It's good to breathe 5 or 6 days a week. How much water are you drinking? Are you drinking half your body weight in water for example if you way 150 lbs. you should be drinking at least 75 oz. of water a day. Drinking more water and cutting back just a little with my eating has magnified my results with LL. I haven't heard many people mention a lot about the " O " breath. I've tried it and it gave me a severe sore throat, but I know without a shadow of doubt that LL works!!!!! I'm living proof. :-) I suggest that you give yourself a good 2 months of being very consistent with your breathing and drinking tons of water and see what happens. Make sure and re-watch the tapes over and over to make sure you're breathing correctly. I hope this helps!!!! Love, Liz --- I've been doing this off and on for awhile, alternating between o & ll, and have yet to see any changes in my body shape/size. I have around 100 lbs to lose. Any suggestions for what I can do? I basically follow Suzanne Somers program for eating & drink H20 and iced tea (decaf). I also wonder about the victory theory tapes... I've done a lot of reading about affirmations/visualizations, etc (esp Louise Hays) and am wondering how this compares. Thanks. Guest guest
Pete; I have used T3/T4 on two occasions in which I began augmenting 11- 14, or there abouts, only to experience a pretty powerful sympathetic response. When I lowered the settings into the alpha range it was calming, though there was residual activation that lasted a couple of days. How would you interpret this? Shouldn't lobeta be calming at those sites? And why would alpha be so if, as you noted in your previous post, augmenting alpha in a bipolar montage isn't really augmenting it, but more likely de-synchronizing?
