Guest guest
Hi , Wow, you sound like me, thyroid problems and age. I just turned 55, so I'm a little older but around the same age. I have more than 10 pounds to lose tho. I recently started Atkins and have lost 19 pounds, I want to lose at least 37 more and maybe 25 more after that. I'm not sure because the last time I lost weight I was down the 37 pounds and I was very happy with how I looked and felt but all the charts say I should lose about 62 more pounds. I'd be VERY happy with just losing 37 more pounds tho! I'll see when I get there. I don't do a lot of exercises as I have arthritis and it makes doing some of them too painful. Like I haven't been able to get on the floor in years and I don't have full range of motion in all my joints. I do physical therapy type exercises three times a week but must admit I'm quite lazy on doing anything else. That's why the LL may just be what the " Dr " ordered. I did do some this morning and as I said before I'm taking it slow so that I don't hurt my back but so far they haven't hurt me at all. I just got the first tape as I figured I'd just do the breathing for my stomach and then once I get them down do them for other areas by doing stretches. I've recently started a Qi Gong exercise too and I'm trying to do it daily, so far have done it every day but there's always hope. Most of the Qi Gong exercises are done with deep breathing and stretches. I watched the tape and there was a section at the end about facial massage but wasn't sure about it. There wasn't any breathing being done with it. I know me, tho, I don't always stick with things so I'm trying to start out slowly and work up to doing more, if I think I only have a few to do I'm more likely to do them than think I have to exercise for 30 minutes. So I'm trying to get in the habit of doing them daily, a few and then slowly add on to them. I think I've got a better chance of sticking with it if I do it that way. Thank you for your support. HI , What LL has mostly done for me is to make and keep me firm. I have alot of trouble losing weight because I have thyroid problems but only have about 10 lbs to lose and am able to keep my weight fairly level with LL despite my thyroid. I can say that I am in the best physical shape I have been in since I was in my thirties. I am now 54 and feel so much better it is unbelievable. Lifelift can give you the body you want without alot of stress and huffing and puffing. Have you watched the tape? Do you have the one with the facelift? I really love that. I have been able to keep my chin firm and feel like it has helped my face look younger. Good luck, and let me know if I can be of any help to you. Guest guest
Hi , It sounds like you are on the right track. I tried to do Atkins but I gained instead of losing!! I think I may be the only one is history but oh well. I pretty much stay with food combining and it is the one that works for me if I could just stick with it. When is your birthday? I turned 54 in June. What is Qi Gong? Is it like yoga or pilates? I do alot of yoga stretches with LL and love the combination. But if I just do the tapes and follow Rashelle, I seem to do the breath better. I'm sorry for your arthritis. It must be really painful. so far, thyroid is all I have (knock on wood) but 7 out of 9 children on (my moms brothers and sisters) all have muscular dystrophy so the 4 of us are biding our time to see if one or all of us will get it. Better us though than our children. I think it's great the weight you've lost and know you will do well with Atkins and LL. Love, Re: Question Hi , Wow, you sound like me, thyroid problems and age. Guest guest
Hi , I turned 55 in August. Qi Gong is a form of healing exercises, like Tai Chi, but the one I'm doing has less positions so it's easier to remember. My arthritis is doing really good recently so I'm a happy camper! I think it's the Coral Calcium I started taking. I noticed my body, joints and muscles just didn't hurt as much as soon as I took it. I even noticed when I forgot to take one of the pills one day. I started hurting and thought " oh, no, it's not the calcium that is helping me " , then I saw I hadn't taken one of the pills. I took three again the next day and felt fine again. I swear by that product! And I've taken a lot of different calcium pills, this one just seems to work for me and I'm VERY thankful! I pray you do NOT get muscular dystrophy! No way! Love, Hi , It sounds like you are on the right track. I tried to do Atkins but I gained instead of losing!! I think I may be the only one is history but oh well. Guest guest
Hi Liz, How does the reflexology work? I mean do you massage your feet or what? Do you use the breathing with it too? The tape I have had some reflexology or massage at the end of the tape but I wasn't sure what it was supposed to do. Thank you! PS I sure hope your husband gets the perfect job for him! My son is out of a job here too. He's in computers and the company he worked for closed it's doors. Luckly his wife has a great job and makes quite a bit of money so they aren't hurting as much as they could have been. Many people are losing their jobs, sure hope the economy changes! Guest guest
Hi , No, I order it off line. A friend did some research on what kinds of Coral Calcium were best and in her search she found the one I'm taking. IF you are interested I get it from this web site www.trublue.us or if that doesn't work it's True Blue Coral Calcium. I think the reason it helps so much is that it balances the acid/alkaline in my body. I tend to be too much acid, but that's just a guess on my part. Guest guest
Hi Jen, I have lost and kept off 5 lbs. But I have not always been consistant. I can tell you this though. My lung capacity is unbelievable and my muscles are very tight and firm. I look better now, even though I would like to lose another 10 lbs. I am 5'2 " and weigh around 135. I would like to weigh 125 but even at this weight I can comfortable wear 8's and some 6's so I am not complaining. Part of my weight gain I am sure is muscle weight and so I am trying to forget about the scales. The problem I constantly deal with is the thyroid along with menopause so I have a little midlife bulge around the waist and it is driving me crazy!!!! But still, all in all, I look better now at 54 than when I was in my 30's and 40's doing weight training. Back then I was bulky and now I am replacing the bulk with long lean muscles which is what LL gives you. I honestly believe that you can do only LL with nothing else and get the body you want. Last year we were in the mountains with some friends and they wanted to walk after dinner. To make a long story short, I was able to jog up hills where they could barely walk and they were huffing and puffing when they got there. To me this was the only proof I needed to be a believer in LL. Hope this helps, Love, , What have you lost in your 4 years? I love LL too. I did BF, and I just dreaded it everyday. Guest guest
Hi , Your feet and hands are like a road map to your body. By pressing different areas you stimulant and help heal those parts of the body, for instance if you have a headache and you press your toes that helps to relieve the pain. Rashelle's reflexology tape takes it a step further by doing it with LL breaths. Adding oxygen to the mix so to speak to aid in healing. I love it!!!! Guest guest
Thanks and Liz, Yes, , you will love the Reflexology video. It is the number one favorite after the Original Life Lift video. I actually use it before bedtime a lot, especially if I have too much going on and I need something extra to help me wind down and relax. It is good for many things. It can help to heal the body from the inside out. That is why many report considerable weight loss when they begin using it. One of the primary areas we target is the area that relates to digestion. We also focus on the thyroid area and also the liver. These are all internal organs that can cause us to increase weight and hold on to fluids if they are not functioning correctly. I have used Reflexology with Life Lift for about 25 years. I felt it was a perfect combination. I do it almost every day. I can't imagine life without Life Lift or without working my Reflexology points, especially on my feet and hands. I also like to do my ears. We do all those points in the video. Right now would be a good time to rub the bottoms of your feet and the palms of your hands while you do 10 Life Lift breaths. I feel certain you will feel better when you have finished. Take good care, Rashelle What can changing the way you breathe do for you? Everything! Remember that it is oxygen that burns fat, tones muscle, reduces stress and increases strength and endurance. Guest guest
Hello Dearest , You know I think you look fantastic. You are one of my favorite role models for Life Lift. As for your thyroid try pushing on the area below your throat where your thyroid sits while you do at least 10 Life Lift breaths daily. I just press my fingers there and do my Life Lift breaths. It may help. Love, Rashelle HI , What LL has mostly done for me is to make and keep me firm. I have alot of trouble losing weight because I have thyroid problems but only have about 10 lbs to lose and am able to keep my weight fairly level with LL despite my thyroid. I hope to get my thyroid working again and think I am on the right track so I hope to be able to lose that last 10. Guest guest
Hi , You are so wise to be careful and to take it easy. I am very careful on all of the positions I use to never stress the neck or the back. I was in a couple of serious car accidents several years ago so I am very aware of the importance of nurturing our bodies. I actually use some stretches in the beginning of the workout videos that I learned from my chiropractor. They have really helped a lot. Take very good care of yourself and keep us posted on your progress. Rashelle What can changing the way you breathe do for you? Everything! Question Hi, I finally got my lifelift tape and watched it yesterday. I did a few of the breaths this morning in the shower and was wondering if by just doing the breaths doesn't that help the whole stomach area? I did Body Flex and Oxycise a while back and both hurt my back so I'm taking it very easy and working up to the 40 breaths. I want to do the whole body work out but right now I'm targeting my stomach....so doing the breaths will help that area, right? Even if it's only five to start with? Thanks,
Guest guest
Hi Rashelle, It's great to meet you! Thank you for telling me about the video. I can't bend one knee very much so it can be difficult to get at one of my feet but now I know that I can also use my hands or ears. I also wanted to thank you for the message that you sent about not stressing while you are doing the breath. This was a very good reminder for me because I was very tense as I was doing them today. I was trying to hard and not letting it flow. Have a great evening and thank you! Guest guest
Rashelle, is that right in the hollow part or on either side under the jawline? I am really anxious to try that. Thanks, Love, Re: Question Hello Dearest , You know I think you look fantastic.
