Guest guest Posted March 19, 2012 Report Share Posted March 19, 2012 Kim, if you find the water bath too much trouble, you might consider reducing the volume of your grains per jar. I use only about 1 teaspoon to make 12 oz of kefir each day - all that I want. When my grains grow past the tsp, they finish faster, so I just put some in the freezer, share them with others, or put them in my smoothie. Works for me - maybe for you, too!
