Guest guest
I had complete obstruction and many fungal balls in sinuses. Had endoscopic surgery to remove and open up obstruction so sinuses could drain. They were a complete " white out " which means full of fluid sitting and stagnating. My nasal passages and back into sinuses are hurting and inflammed. I dont know if its becasue 5 months post surgery mold spores have increased given it is now spring and my hyper reactive immune sytem is going nuts or if it could be the kefir I just started (milk and water-juice from second ferment) Can the yeasts in kefir habitate the sinuses or nasal passages? My ENT (specializes in mold and fungal illness and prety out of the box) fees pretty certain I fit the pattern of chronic sinus diseased folks who make hyper immune responses to molds and yeast and I think he will probably blame the kefir (as well as outdoor air). He is probably going to prefer I take probiotics (which I think is mostly a waste or make yogurt where there is no yeast). The sinuses (as I am reading) are supposed to be sterile.. Not sure how thats suppose to take place but the nose, nasal pasages are not suppose to be sterile. My concern is introducing yeasts esp into the nasal or sinus cavity that my immune system might be reacting to.. BUT.. the kefir has helped my gut! No immune reaction there I am aware of and now my stools are more regular. Thank you, Robin
Guest guest
May I recommend this book as a starting point: Sinus Survival http://www.amazon.com/Sinus-Survival-Treatment-Allergies-Sinusitis/dp/1585420581 I used to get man (5 or more) severe sinus infections per year. They would put me on really bad antibiotics. After reading this book I stopped drinking milk, and rarely ate dairy (cheeseburger or pizza). For 10 years, NO sinus infections at all. I then read about raw milk, have been drinking/eating raw milk products now for over ten years, first cow now goat, with no ill effect. That includes kefir. I think you should look at more things. However, if stoping the kefir helps you, by all means do it. Please let us know. Not everything works for everyone, and all information is helpful.
