Hi Sherry,

I find its a matter of taste for the most part.......What I use to ferment my

kefir is raw sugar, molasses, raisins and eggshell.....then I strain and top off

with blueberry juice.. works for me...

I know theres alot of different recipes out there and people add alot of

different things.....but I have had amazing benefits from this simple recipe...

Hope it helps

Subject: So Many Recipes for Water Kefir

I am new to the water kefir. I am unsure as to why anyone would put eggshells

into the batch. Calcium? How do people come up with all the different recipes

i.e. molasses, lemon, baking soda, etc. and how do I know which one to use?

Thanks in advance,

Sherry

Lately my water kefir has become slimy? Any suggestions? I have used the same

amount of water, sugar, molasses and a pinch of baking soda. I'd appreciate any

help. Thanks. I've rinsed my grains to see if this helps, but it's too soon to

tell.

Hi Donna,

I find that if I rest my grains after 3 ferments I don't get that

problem......If you have extra grains you can keep swapping them every 3 to 4

ferments....

Thankyou
