Rose,

Have you been eating a lot of nuts lately? Arginine in nuts can cause outbreaks

of cold

sores. Don’t go blaming the kefir

because that is probably not your problem.

The vitamin D your doctor has given you is most likely synthetic Vitamin

D2 (you can’t patent natural vitamin D3 so a prescription would be synthetic)

not natural Vitamin D3 like you would get from the sun or natural Vitamin D3

supplements.

Your immune system is weak right now and that’s why you are

getting the outbreaks. Just like when

people get shingles, their immune systems are weak.

Natural Cold Sore Remedies

Here is another option that you can use. Homeopathic remedies work great.

In the meantime, while you are waiting for your homeopathic

remedies to arrive, you can use Sovereign Silver gel on your sores many times a

day. Keep it moist on the sore and do

not rub it in. This is only a bandaid

but your immune system needs to be improved and your body detoxed. Have you

ever done a liver detox? If your liver is congested (if you are

breathing, your liver is congested), then you need to do a liver detox. You can

drink dandelion root tea three times

a day for 30 days to cleanse your liver.

The worse it tastes, the more you need it. You can also use Echinacea and

Golden Seal or

Elderberry Syrup or many other herbal remedies to boost your immune systems.

Milk kefir and cold sore

OK now I got a question for you Al. My Dr. did some blood work on me and

she said I am low in my vit. D. So she puts me on it. I start getting cold sore

break outs. After months and months of taking the stuff and trying to get rid of

them and couldn't, someone suggested it could be a supplement I was taking. SO I

started thinking and did some online research. Got off the D's and it starts

going away. THEN not thinking milk has D in it I started making my milk kefir,

drinking 3/4 morning 3/4 cup at night. About a week later here comes another

cold sore. I was like what the heck, I'm not taking the D's..... then it dawned

on me, duh milk vit. D. So I backed off drinking as much and it starts to go

away as I am taking lysine like crazy to keep the cold sore from coming on. Then

it started going away so I thought ok I'm still taking lysine so I'll start back

drinking my kefir. Well guess what, the thing started getting worse again.

UGHHHH Figured I would run

this one by you and see if you know anything about this and why D keeps giving

me cold sores. Found a forum awhile back and found herds of people that it does

this to as well. Since I wasn't drinking milk before because of allergies to the

lactose I wasn't getting the D. But since I let my milk kefir ferment another 24

hours to get rid of that I could drink it and it not bother the allergies.

Anyway just wondering if you have any ideas on this....

here,

I had chicken pox as a child.  When I was a teen (total virgin) I began

getting herpes on my lips whenever a stressful occasion arose--like

homecomingdance, etc.  Finally our family doctor suggested that I get a

smallpox vaccination--vaccs back then were imperfect and had other virus strains

in them--lucky for me, because my herpesA went away for 7 years and guess what,

I started breaking out again 7 years later and got another smallpox vaccine (

they " took " as my arm swelled up and  I scarred ) My last vacc was 1992, or

so...it took and I have not had an outbreak since then.

It might be difficult to find a smallpox vaccine nowadays....but go for it if

you can get it.

P.S. Al, please tell me Al is short for alter ego.   I will respond to

others, later, who confess to looking into grocery carts and PASSING

JUDGEMENT, creeps, who are you to pass judgment?  That's one reason why I have

my groceries delivered.
