Guest guest
The staff finally turn the music off so that you can start to make a more accurate assessment. Airway is patent. Breathing is still rapid, breaths sounds are absent on the left hand side. He is in obvious pain when breathing. No rib movement is detected. The bruising on the chest certainly looks sore though. SPO2 is waving at 90%. There is distension of the neck veins. Pulse is 64, BP is better assessed at 100/60. He is still bright red in the face and both eyes are blood shot. There is no (noticeable) difference in response or LOC. Conversation is down to nods and shakes due to distress and a non-breather mask. Further questioning of the instructor still confirms that both the gym and Jerry are clean. Apparently Jerry bleeds when he takes aspirin, although only slight he steers away. His health assessment has been pulled from the gym's office. When Jerry joined, about two years ago, he had been told to improve his health by his GP. His cholestoral levels were very poor and he had a TIA. This had scared him into getting fit, as his father had died from a stroke at forty eight. He attends the weight room every other day and is in the rest of the gym almost every day for about and hour. Part two (the debrief) will be posted tomorrow morning (BST).
