Guest guest
Dear FORUM, Just for clarification about the International Treatment Preparedness Coalition, it is a well established group comprising over 280 members from about 100 countries around the world. There is a Steering Committee of 15 people representing each of the regions, and of which only three people on that Steering Committee are from developed countries (in the regions they represent). In each region there is also a Regional Advisory Committee of locally based people, and that Committee is responsible for all decisions on all issues in their region. There is a separate region for South Asia and one for East Asia and for South East Asia, although East Asia, South East Asia and Australia/NZ /Japan have all joined together operationally at least for the time being. The ITPC is open to anyone interested in fighting for treatment access. There are several Indian members of the ITPC and the ITPC has been in contact with Indian based organisations about the upcoming ITPC's World CAB (Community Advisory Board) meeting in Mumbai in January 2005. While this meeting includes people from every region in the world, and is to address issues that are of interest in access to treatment throughout the world, there are India-specific items on the agenda.
