Guest guest
I am so surprised by the vast differences that we experience with CMT. I am so lucky that I have not experienced the pains that so many of you experience. I guess sometimes there are tradeoffs. I suffer from extreme weakness, cannot walk steps, curbs, get off toilet seats, have no balance and could never hike yet alone walk across grass without losing my balance. My CMT has progressed to the point that I cannot recreationally walk anymore. Used to enjoy taking long walks and bike rides, but have been unable to do that for 20 years. Would love to hear from anyone whose CMT has progressed but has figured out how to still remain active despite the weakness. Fortunatley, my spirit is high and I have a high internal energy. I never let CMT stop me from trying something, but it does make me feel like I stand out in a crowd (that is when I can stand in a crowd!) Also, I have started trying some of the on-line dating services. Any advice on when to tell someone about the CMT? Obviously when they meet me they will know as I walk with braces and a cane, but would really like them to get to know me, not the CMT that I have. Thanks for listening! Guest guest
Hi Jeanet, I've got almost all your symtoms, as a matter of fact I was in the house before and tripped and spilled my water all over the floor and cut my leg. Hate it when that happens....By accident I also unplugged the phone, and thought something else had happened to it, it was just the plug..ha..ha
