Guest guest
I had both a muscle and nerve biopsy done at the same time in 2 places. I was 14, the year was 1966, had this in the summer. Back then I stayed overnight or two in the hospital. But the biopsies were a piece of cake. I didn't need anesthesia, just a local, and I was able to be alert and watch above on a mirror. It was interesting. There really wasn't any recovery time, I was up and walking by evening. Just had two big bandages and Ace wraps to wear for maybe a month. The only thing I couldn't do was swim until the incisions healed fully. Not a big deal. Both biopsies came back normal - looking back on this I suspect the doctors were possibly looking for muscular dystropy or something else. It all was ruled out. +++ Gretchen
