Guest guest
By any chance, if you apply for Medicaid and at the same time for ssd, do they oppose each other, in other words, do they feel that if you're getting Medicaid you don't need ss benefits? All I'm hearing is horror stories on how long it takes to get any kind of money and in the mean time what to do??
Guest guest
when you apply for medicaid they will ask you if you have applied for SSD. This is to ensure that you are trying all avenues to get help. It also will let them knowe if there is a chance you will get SSD followed by medicare. They don't penalize you for applying for both. Cathleen been there done this!
Guest guest
I have SSD as you know it started last month, and I also have Medicaid. Check with your case worker Elaine
