One word - QUIT! OK, no lecture here, but, girlfriend, please take

care of yourself! It's not helping your lungs and we know lungs and

breathing problems happen with CMT.

I think there is something about smoking and CMT in our Files section.

(yes, and I also was a smoker myself once upon a time a long time ago.

Burned up a final copy of a major term paper when smoking, in the days

before personal computers, and just retyping the da** thing again was

enough to get me to quit).

Hi -

I am a smoker too. I smoke about a half pack a day. I'm 53 almost

54 and I've smoked on and a little off for about 36 yrs now. I do know this

isn't healthy even without having CMT. My dad died in 1995 from lung cancer that

spread to his brain before we even knew how sick he was.....so you'd think I'd

quit! I did for 2 mos. oh woo woo. It's easier said than done.

,

I was like you. I'm 54 going on 55 and the hardest thing I've tried

to do is to quit smoking. I've tried it all from the patch, gum,

hypnosis, you name it I've tried it.now i know this sounds crazy but i read this

book and quit without any nicotine replacement. it's called " the easy way to

stop smoking " by Ralph Carr.

Three other of my friends have also quit using his method. the first

chapter is hard then it's amazing how simple it really is. hey it's

worth a try. the book is only $15 at $ Noble.

Good luck,

Briget
