Guest guest
Hi Ben! My Dad (age 51) has CMT Type X2. He did research on the Lipitor, after his Dr. prescribed it. He found that it causes severe muscle aches, nerve damage, numbness, fatigue and breathing problems. He already has enough of those risks/side effects w/ CMT anyway! Also, some of his co-workers (CMT free) complained that they had severe muscle aches, spasms, & fatigue; after taking Lipitor for a few wks. He decided to talk to his Dr. about it and she agreed that w/ CMT, he shouldn't take it. Now he's on Provacol. He experienced minor aches the 1st few wks., but no complaints otherwise. He just went yesterday to have his cholesterol checked. Hopefully the results show that it's helped. A.
Guest guest
Hello Ben, Yes it did return almost immediately after stopping the Lipitor. I had tried taking it for 2 months before I had to stop.
