Have you ever thought about the traditional metal braces? They can be worn

with almost any kind of shoe that has been modified with a channel for your

brace. They are also much more comfortable in warm weather. Too many

orthotists these days don't want to make them as they are made from

components bought elsewere and assembled in the shop instead of made in

the shop like plastic braces, I'm afraid. With the metal braces you can wear

your normal size and not have to worry about getting 5E's or something like

that, Dress shoes, hiking boot, or tennis shoes it doesn't matter. For these

reasons I find metal braces easier to wear.
