Guest guest
Spy, Omega 6 is also known as GLA Gamma-Linolenic Acid, some doctors use it in treating their patients with diabetic neuropathy. But the body ordinarily makes all the GLA it needs from linoleic acid. Sometimes the body may not be able to convert linoleic acid to GLA efficiently, like when one has a B6 deficiency. More on GLA -http://healthinfo.healthgate.com/GetContent.aspx?token=e0498803-7f62-4563-8d47-\ 5fe33da65dd4 & chunkiid=21587 Vitamin B6, also known as pyridoxine is part of the B group vitamins and is water-soluble and is required for both mental and physical health. For more info read over this information http://www.anyvitamins.com/vitamin-b6-pyridoxine-info.htm Then go to http://www.cmtworld.org/html/cmtrx.php and you will find pyridozine (B6) listed. I would suggest that you contact your doctor before you start taking the Omega 6 and/ or B6. You may not need it. A simple blood test can show your doctor if all your vitamin needs are being met. I get this done once every year - I rely on my Doctor's judgement because I know the pitfalls of self medicating - with ANYTHING. Just last week I had a CBC, a Ferritin test, and one other. Please be careful when mixing supplements, vitamins, etc. If you do not trust or respect your doctor, I would suggest visiting with your pharmacist about this combination.
