Guest guest
Welcome Kenny, You wanted to know how others are dealing with CMT. Well, for me, it is all about having a positive attitude, having hope, and keeping well informed about what's going on in the research world. I am 52, was diagnosed when I was 9/10, so I've had a lifetime to " deal " with CMT. I prefer the word " manage " CMT now. My CMT IS manageable to the extent I take care of myself, exercise, and keep my attitude positive. My creation-centered spirituality also sustains me. I refuse to be a " victim " or " sufferer " of CMT, but rather through research and other news, I participate in the solution which is one reason I started this group. I do not have " good days " or " bad days " , I have days full of life, light, color, work, and all that I am capable of being or doing. My " problems " are only shadowed by the amount of " drama " I allow in my life - and that is very small. Mostly none. Exercise (aquatics especially) benefits my attitude, not to mention my physical being, and when I can use the pool alone, I turn off the overhead lights, turn on the inside pool lights, and it all becomes a time of meditation for me which is very rewarding to my body and soul. Welcome to the group! Gretchen
