Dear Bobby,

I would rather suggest that you change your campaign slogan from Non-ARV care to

some other positive one. One of our major campaign plank is to make ARV

available at reasonable cost to all and try to send the message that AIDS is a

treatable chronic disease.

The campaign like non-arv care at this juncture is likely to weaken our main

campaign. More over in India we are opposing the new Patent change regulations

the government is bringing from an access and cost point of view of essential

drugs especially for the HIV AIDS patients.

At this point of time campaigns focussing on non -arv treatment will be used by

MNCs and others to further weaken our case shifting the focus from access to

other areas.

With the human power with us and our organisational capabalities based on field

realtity we will have to strictly follow certain priorities in our campaign

As such I am sorry to say that I cannot cooperate with such campaigns.
