Hey ,

All the info. looks good. Lake T is a good 2nd choice too. Yes, I'll do

a monthly reminder as the months progress. Yes, I agree, this is a " CMT

only " trip. The opportunity to learn from others is paramount! Certainly

other CMT group members may wish to join, it is open to all with CMT, if

they wish to participate and understand the nature of the hike (oh good

pun!) :) I put together some information on Yosemite - lodges, camping

info, resources, etc., so people can have planning info as they may wish

to stay longer and take in more of the natural beauty. This is in our

files. I will update it with the information you just gave me too. This

includes some information on disability access for people who need it.

, thank you so much for your kind comments about . I really

appreciate them. I don't necessarily know so much about CMT, but living

with it just about my whole life has just given me a heck of alot of

personal experience and insight. Of course, with the computer age,

information abounds and I believe everyone should have access to all of

it. As for questions, well, if I don't have personal experience, someone

here does, and I can always try to find research on the disease with a

few clicks, or point people in the right direction, etc. We're about to

head into our 6th year shortly, it amazes me that we now have 1022

members. I remember when we had only 3 - I kept thinking about the

" Field of Dreams - If you build it they will come " philosophy. I also

personally believe in service, sharing and staying positive - even in

hard times.

I plan on writing a review of your book when I've finished it :) (if

that's OK with you)

Happy Trails,

Gretchen

Hi guys!!

Just curious, how you can do that when I can't even get to the bathroom in

the morning without tripping over something. Is it because you aren't as

progressed with the disease, or are the supports you wear helping enough to

get you through it?? Either way, more power to all you guys!! I do work

hard on my feet for the few hours I do work, but then feel so tired when I'm

done. I do alot of turning and at a very fast pace when I have to. Maybe

that's all the excercise my body can take. I'm getting more tired as time

goes by though. Love to all

Yo ,

You know, I'm not really sure. I don't fully understand how I can barely

haul myself up a stairway with the constant help of a sure bannister and then

put on a pack and walk 10 miles in the mountains. Part of the answer is severity

- my CMT is not as bad as some others. Part of it is desire. I really want to

hike. I LOVE the mountains. But, it's hard. No doubt.

Don't count yourself out of the hike so quick. If you have a job, you're

walking over a mile a day every day now. Think of it this way: If all you had to

do was walk one mile in one day, could you do it? Think about it.
