Vitamin C - Italian trials to begin

THis is sooo exciting! What is wrong with the USA! Oh yeah they make to much

money on medicine.

Dear ers,

Paolo Vinci M.D. in Rome has recently informed me that human trials of

Vitamin C for CMT 1A will begin in Italy this coming January 2005. He

also recommends that " while waiting for trial results, people with CMT

1A should take care of their feet and legs, according to the

rehabilitation principles (proper shoes, orthoses, and so on); if there

are foot and knee deformities, these will remain deformed even if the

'C' is effective " .

For our new members, Dr. Vinci wrote the book " Rehabilitation Management

of Charcot Marie Tooth disease, now only available through the

Association of Italian Charcot Marie Tooth website

discusses stages of CMT. The website has some of his journal articles

(in English), meeting reports, and video clips. Dr. Vinci was diagnosed

with CMT Type 2 as a young boy of 6.
