Guest guest
Hello all, I have been on medical leave from my employer for about 10 weeks. I was just approved for short term disability which should probably convert to long term disability in December. My employer is a very large company that said anyone on medical leave must notify them when it is determined that they will be permanently unable to return to work. Well I am permanently unable to return to work, but I am worried that if I tell them I will not be returning they will terminate me and I will lose my health insurance. Health insurance is the only reason I haven't already told them. Has anyone else here had that same problem? If so, how was it handled? Are there any rules regarding how disabled employees are terminated? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Rob
