Guest guest
Help, I am feeling very weak and extremely tired and don't no what to do. I am at work right now and have an hour drive home and really am afraid I will fall asleep at the wheel. I keep falling. I was diagnosed with CMT when I was 18 and I am 32 now and a teacher. I have an appointment with the MDA clinic tomorrow but worried now. Jen *** Jen, get some extra sleep. A nap, early to bed tonight might help, even if you do this for a week or so. Sleep will help the anxiety lift too. ~ Gretchen
Guest guest
Jen, I'm not sure where you live, but I've been talking to a lot of people in our area lately who are suffering from tiredness and just an overall run down feeling. The lack of sunshine and shorter days can have a lot to do with it. I agree with Gretchen about going to bed early. Try a hot bath, some chamomile tea and see how you feel in the morning. ~
Guest guest
Jen, I had the same problem, including an hour and 15 minute drive to work (one-way). I am very lucky I didn't end up in an accident by falling asleep at the wheel. My primary care doctor kept telling me my fatigue was a result of depression and prescribed more antidepressants. The drugs made me even sleepier. Don't ever let any doctor tell you this without really making a case for it. Anyway, I had my first appointment at the MDA clinic back in February. They scheduled an EMG/NCV for April. The test results showed extreme loss of nerve function and muscle strength, etc. This loss of muscle was the reason for my fatigue. Hope this helps. -Rob
