Guest guest
Hi , June, and other ers, ALA (Alpha Lipoic Acid) is also known as Thiotic Acid - Keir found some synonyms about it. Here's some other information. And no, far as my research goes (English and German) I have found nothing about studies on CMT and ALA. (But I'm not done yet!) ~ Gretchen http://www.gettingwell.com/drug_info/nmdrugprofiles/nutsupdrugs/alp_0159.shtml (This one says it is approved in Germany for treating polyneuropathies. It also says that in human clinical trials it has shown to decrease pain after 21 days. This site has quite a bit of info.) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?CMD=Search & DB=pubmed (ALA scientific abstracts in English) http://www.youngagain.com/thioctic.html http://jonkaiser.com/educate/ask/answer4.html http://www.health-marketplace.com/Alpha-Lipoic-Acid.htm
