Guest guest
Dear Friends, There have been a couple of messages in the last three days suggesting a need for an AIDS CME for physicians. On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the Indo-US CME on HIV/AIDS & Symposium on Recent Advances in AIDS Research, I am pleased to invite your members to participate in one such CME and Symposium on January 9th and 10th, 2005. This is part of a collaborative between our Institute (Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh) and the New York University School of Medicine AIDS International Training and Research Program (NYUSoM-AITRP), funded by the Fogarty Institute, NIH, USA. The first day of the program will be a CME on HIV/AIDS in which various issues of clinical interest will be discussed. The speakers will include faculty of the NYUSoM and others from different parts of the country, apart from our Institute. Since we would like as many students and practitioners as possible to benefit from the deliberations we have a nominal registration fee of Rs 100 for those who register by this year-end. Thereafter, it will be Rs 500. On day two, we will have a symposium on recent advances in AIDS research where we will have speakers who have been responsible for significant advances in their respective fields. We do not propose to have any registration for this in order to encourage both clinicians and basic scientists to actively participate in discussion related to advances in AIDS research. We would welcome any member of the forum who might be interested in attending the meeting. All relevant details will be available at our website: www.geocities.com/aidscme2005 Finally, the meeting would give the participants an opportunity to visit Chandigarh and see the city in full bloom. Best wishes Ajay Wanchu Organizing Secretary E-mail: <awanchu@...>
