Ask to talk to the anesthesiologist BEFORE the surgery; plus print

off the information to take along. Your Mom will be fine. While my

surgery wasn't emergency, I had time to prepare, but still met with

the anesthesiologist. He also asked me if I was allergic to anything

and what medications I take and some other questions about how CMT

affects me. I was given anesthesia through IV, not from inhalation.

If your mom has breathing or other respiratory issues with her CMT,

make sure the anestheologist knows about this.
