Guest guest
Dear FORUM. Mr. Banta is raising a very pertinent point. Most of the members of the medial profession are still not exposed to the HIV/AIDS treatment protocols etc. In fact there is even a lot of misunderstanding among many of them about patient-doctor transmission. Hence there is a lot of discrimination existing in hospitals. NACO and state AIDS cell are organising training programmes for doctors. But this appears to be not enough to cover large number of doctors. But there is a space for educating doctors in the CME programmes organised by professional organisations like Associations of Surgons, Physicians etc. They orgaanise a number of CMEs round the year. We can suggest to these organisation to include topics especially treatment protocols in these CMEs and suggest a few committed professionals to present the topics.
