I've got some exciting news to share....

I just found out a couple of hours ago that my husband and I are leaving home

shortly to

head down to Georgia so I can be an extra in an HBO Production of the movie Warm

Springs starring Kathy Bates, Nixon and Branagh. The movie is

about

F.D.R. when he was struggling with Polio and how he first visitied Warm Springs

when they

had a resort there and how he turned it into an institute for people with Polio

to come for

treament and therapy.

I think it's incredible that HBO is going to be bringing some awareness to the

public about

diseases such as Polio and I think this may open a lot of eyes out there.

It's going to be somewhat tough for me being one of those people that doesn't go

to the

beach or wear shorts and now I'm finding myself about to start filming some pool

scenes

without braces and in a bathing suit either in a wheelchair on the edge of the

pool waiting

to go in it or already in the pool, (or both).

The following week apparently we'll be filming some yard scenes where, (if

everything

goes as currently planned), they will again have me in a wheelchair and wearing

a dress.

They had an opening for extras with small legs to portray people with Polio and

something

made me feel that I " had " to do this. Maybe it'll help get some awareness for

CMT,

because I'm sure I'm going to be asked what I " have " by a ton of people.

I have to applaud HBO for this one. Right now it looks like the movie will be

out some

time in the Spring, but I'll keep you posted.

Wish me luck and send me some positive thoughts Monday and Tuesday and again the

following Tuesday and Wednesday! :-)
