Guest guest
Dear all, Mulitplicity of Telephone helplines, is beneficial for the very objective of effective HIV/AIDS management? 1. Population services Internationla (PSI) has recently started a helpline in Kolkata also for HIV/AIDS information. 2.Then there is already one existing helpline which is being run by the west bengal state aids society (WBSACS). 3. And I am also aware of another one being run by FPAI-Kolkata. All the three are run at three different levels of expertise, by three different persons/organizations (and many more since the state aids society one is run by a multiple of NGOs), with varied cocktails of subjects being covered by each of the helplines - with also one common subject : HIV/AIDS. Do you think that this kind of a situation is beneficial for the very objective of : a) HIV/AIDS management in Kolkata (or this could be any geographical location) b)Information dissemination and communication about HIV/AIDS. These three organizations and thir services may or may not be coordinating the services thet are offering between themselves. Kindly do respond.I need to discuss this for my own clarity.I work with HIV/AIDS Communication. Sincerely Mallika E-mail: <mallika_lal@...>
