Guest guest
Becky, Welcome to the site. WIsh I had found this years ago. I too was diagnosed in my early 20's and generally did not let CMT stop me, except for making accomodations in the things I wanted to do. It is naturaly to feel down about this from time to time, who wouldn't. Feel free to contact me anytime. You will love the support and vast information you get from the emails! Get your Sis to join too. Folks, Becky has the cutest little rug-rat I've seen since looking at my baby pictures! Guest guest
Hello Becky, My name is Mandy and I, too, am from Ohio. I have a two year old daughter who was also recently diagnosed with CMT. I have been diagnosed since I was a child and have lived with it all my life. I've had a few surgeries and aside from some clumsiness, have no other problems. My daughter goes to see a physiatrist tomorrow and will begin therapy soon. I hope her case is as mild as mine. I don't know if I could live with it if her symptoms were worse. I hope all of us can learn from each other. I'm sure with everything that I will be learning about my daughter progression, I will have many questions for the veterans. Mandy
