New Delhi: Trying to network for legal assistane for PLWHA s

Dear FORUM,

I work in Delhi with HIV+ people. At present, I am trying to network with

organizations in order to provide some legal aid (referral and information)

regarding the rights of +ve people. I have listed a few organizations but would

like some more information especially Delhi-based organizations. In addition, we

are on a tight budget so; I would like to know about organizations or bodies

that would sponsor such initiatives.

I have tried for inclusion of the name of the PLWHA in the group of people

eligible for free legal and have got encouraging response from the National

Legal Services Authority and the Gujarat State Legal Services Authority last

year and it is being positively considered by the Government of India.

You may further pursue it qouting the letter of the NLSA letter

no.Dy.No.1879/04-NALSA/2941 dated 06.12.2004 and the letter from the GSLSA

No.GSLSA/2678/04 dated December 7,2004 in response to my letters to them on the

Legal Services Day (9th November).
