Guest guest
Hi All! I went to my OS this past week because the pain is getting increasingly worse in my right knee and now my left is following suit. The Physican's Assistant did xrays and the right showed not much damage and some softening of the cartilage. She said that it didn't show the amount of damage equal to the pain...I'm not sure what that means!! I'm very limited in my movements, walking is painful, it hurts all the time, and swimming is even a struggle now because getting out of the water is difficult. I have another appt with my actual OS next month and I'm wondering what I should say to him. Should I ask for another MRI to confirm damage? I know that my only remaining option, at 42, is a total knee replacement. The PA suggested trying the shots again in my knee but I'm kinda feeling that that ship has sailed!! Any direction you all could give me would be appreciated. Are x-rays definitive in showing damage? Thanks for listening! Kim
