Guest guest
I received a give certificate for New Balance Shoes. In the past, someone has posted the which ones were most beneficial to people with CMT. I'd like to find out which ones. Thanks so much!!! --- Robin
Guest guest
Hi Robin: My orthotist recommended New Balance 925. This model provides excellent support and comfort. Your foot will not " roll over " in this shoe as the shoe will not twist. The front of the shoe is wider for your toes and provides excellent balance. Also, the entire shoe is on the ground at all times as their is no " arch " cut out of the bottom of the shoe. There is also cushion characteristics built into the shoe. New Balance makes all kinds of models, but the 925 model is the best. Not all stores that sell New Balance carry the 925 model, but they can order them for you. This model comes in 4 colours - white, black, brown and beige. I have never had such a great shoe on my feet in the young 55 years I have lived. Totally satisfied. My orthotist made a pair of orthotics to fit this shoe...talk about a stable shoe. Stability, comfort and balance is what I needed, and that is what I have in the 925 model. I'll give you a quick example. I love playing golf. I have been unable to walk 18 holes for several years, so I simply take a golf cart. My hands become so painful after playing, so I can only play about once every 7-10 days. Last spring I went to the driving range with my older son to hit a few balls. My balance was so bad I could not hit a ball, and I would fall over. I was absolutely devastated. Try and try again I could not hit the ball. However, once I got my New Balance 925 shoes my balance was returned to me and I managed to play 9 holes without falling over with my younger son. My hands sure were painful for about 10 days, but at least I played. That happened late in the golf season, so I hope to play more than 9 holes this year. I have 3 great loves in my life, my higher power, my family and golf. On July 12, 2002, I won a new car or $20,000 for getting a hole-in-one at one of our local charity golf tournaments. The fact that I got a hole-in-one was more important to me than winning $20,000. Go figure eh!!! (oops I gave it away, and I don't mean the cash).
