Guest guest
Hi , The tendons were cut at the base of each toe, thus straightening them somewhat. There are no stitches, and no bones are broken. After about a week, my toes were put into traction. Just material and velcro and the toes were pulled up in the direction of my ankle. I believe I was in traction for about a week to ten days. The reason I had the operation was because the tips of my toes were becoming calloused and ulcers were forming. I almost lost one toe because of an ulcer. No more problems with ulcers or callouses on the tip of my toes. Thank goodness !
